I’ve decided to tackle a digital version of Project Life, and start making family yearbooks for us. I haven’t decided if I’m going to do it weekly or monthly yet, but I am totally obsessed with collecting things for it, so I’m super excited.
This is a sample of one of the kits available:
I’ve also gotten hooked on the Currently project too, since it goes right along with Project Life.
It’s a little 3×4 card that you can get here and it just says what you’re currently doing. Its a super easy way to document your week and you can either use it digitally or print it out. They’re free, and you can buy more if you like. I’ll be posting my weekly “Currently” pics starting this Friday.
Look out for my Project Life spreads too!
::phew:: Who knew I’d end up this crafty?!
I made some cupcake cards using the same cupcake crates set for the treat containers. I made them smaller than an A2 size since I wanted to fit 2 on a letter size paper. I made one to write on for my friend and one for her to give away.
I haven’t had much time alone in the spare room to craft much lately, but I realized I hadn’t posted about my newest treat. My husband let me buy an embossing machine as my valentine’s day gift 🙂
I bought the Sizzix Texture Boutique starter kit, and it was $32 on Amazon, and came with a bunch of stuff, cards included and cardstock. I did SO much research, and was almost leaning towards the Cricut Cuttlebug but then I realized I probably wasn’t going to be doing embossing on anything bigger/wider than 5″ since what I really like is cards, and also this machine was half the price! For $40 I ended up getting 2 extra embossing folders (cuttlebug folders I’d been eyeing for a WHILE), and they fit just perfectly. It even fits a 5×7 Folder which I’ve already used to make envelopes and I love, because that’s probably the biggest size I’ll be doing.
Anyway, here are some pics of the new toy and a few things I’ve done with it. 🙂 The envelopes are for an invitation we made.
I am in charge of several things for our church and I just love using my Cameo to make little projects.
We are starting a couples life group in a few weeks and my friend asked me to make some personalized invitations for some couples.
Since I have never done invitations, I bought the Elegant Invitations bundle from SVG Cuts. It’s so easy to use and has like 5 different beautiful templates. I used the Classic template for this card and sized it down so I could make more than 1 per 12×12 piece of cardstock.
Here’s the picture of the card I made for Mike for Valentines day. Another Pintrest inspiration.
It’s the number of days since we met to today. 🙂
